Contemporary Metal’s new studio was opened on Friday 17 Feb. 2017 and over 200 people attended the event. It was officiated by Professor Ted Snell, Director of UWA Cultural Precinct and the keynote speaker was Dr Robert Bell, the former Curator of Decorative Arts and Design at the National Gallery of Australia. Jewellers from the Jewellers and Metalsmiths Group of WA and Contemporary Metal students profiled handcrafted work for display and sale.
