The ancient Korean technique, Keum Boo involves fusing wafer thin 24ct gold to fine silver. In this 4 hour class, you will create two pieces of jewellery (two pairs of earrings or one pair of earrings and one pendant) and learn how to roll 24ct gold to the correct thickness and fuse it to fine silver using heat. Keum Boo brings jewellery to another level by adding a beautiful, rich gold colour without the expense. The class cost is $187 (GST inc) and includes all materials: 24ct gold, fine silver, sterling silver earring hooks and a sterling silver chain. Extra gold, silver and findings are available for purchase.
The prerequisite for this class is completion of ‘Introduction to Jewellery Making Skills, Stage 1″and or demonstrated basic jewellery making skills.
